Church Staff:
Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.
Kent Gravley, Lead Pastor
It has been Pastor Kent’s privilege to serve the Lord at Immanuel since 1990. A graduate of Dallas Seminary, one of Kent’s emphasis is biblical exposition – seeking to teach the truth of Scripture as it relates to life. You’ll probably hear an illustration from football thrown in here or there. The church generously freed up Kent to coach a number of years within the Aberdeen school district from elementary to high school, illustrating both the church’s and Kent’s commitment to our community.
His wife, Jan, a gifted teacher, has taught within the school district for many years. They have three adult children who have lived on both coasts and in the middle of our great country. Some things Kent wants you to know:
- His heart beats for families and children.
- He has a great respect for the business community of Grays Harbor.
- He has a rockin’ Christmas nutcracker collection. (Probably a diagnosable addiction.)
- Having studied the Bible and theology for almost 40 years, Pastor Kent is more overwhelmed with God’s love for each of us than ever before.
Bill Brown, Associate Pastor
Pastor Bill grew up at Immanuel. Since graduating from Aberdeen High School, the Lord’s path for Bill has brought him through Southern California, Hong Kong, the Portland metro area, and now back to Grays Harbor. Bill is passionate about Christ and the Gospel, and loves helping the Church worship God.
Bill and his wife Jacey met while students at Western Seminary in Portland, and where they were married in 2007. The Lord has blessed them with two wonderful, energetic boys.

Rachel Monroe, Children’s Ministry
Rachel has a passionate love for children and a deep desire to see them grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. She was extensively involved in Children’s Ministries at Immanuel from 2007-2013 and is thrilled to be back serving the children of this community. Rachel and her 3 children live in Montesano.
Deb Carlisle, Administrative Assistant
Deb has served as Administrative Assistant at IBC since September 2016. Prior to that, she worked at the Wishkah Valley School District for 11 years, in roles from volunteer to teaching assistant to Superintendent’s secretary. Deb grew up in New Orleans, LA, and has lived in Grays Harbor since 1987. She and her husband, Mat, have 5 adult children and 6 grandchildren.
