~ SMALL GROUPS ~

groupAt Immanuel Baptist Church, we believe that small groups provide a unique environment where spiritual growth and life change can occur in the context of community.

Our small groups offer a place where you can connect with like-minded believers, deepen your relationship with Christ, and encourage one another. In addition, these groups provide you with the opportunity to serve others and use your spiritual gifts to benefit the body of Christ.

Our small groups are held in individual homes and at the church. Some of these groups focus on an in-depth study of the Scriptures with the goal of seeing every believer come to a deeper understanding of Christ and His Word. Additional small groups are dedicated to hands-on service and are actively involved in ministering to the needs of individuals throughout the church and the community.

These are exciting times at Immanuel Baptist church as more and more small groups are coming on board. Our goal is to ensure that every person attending our church is able to find a small group where they can become connected and experience Christian fellowship and life transformation.

If you are interested in attending one of our small groups or would like additional information, please contact the church office at 533-2012 or email the church office.

An outgrowth of the In His Majesty's Service campaign, the Life Together small group meets in private homes on Sundays at 7:00 p.m. This vibrant, authentic adult group has studied material by Rick Warren, John Eldredge, Bruce Wilkinson, and Focus on the Family. Besides digging deep into God's Word, we pray for and with each other, offer encouragement and support, touch base during the week, and share potlucks, movie nights, birthdays, and holidays. We engage in lively discussions, frequently puncuated by laughter, as we "do life together" on a regular basis. The Life Together group meets once a month during the summer to stay connected.

On tap for fall '09: That the World May Know, a Focus on the Family video/discussion format on the cultural, historic, and geographical background surrounding key biblical texts, and Dropping Your Guard: The Value of Open Relationships by Chuck Swindoll.
